A dark pink form of the popular Japanese Wisteria. A vigorous deciduous climber that need a large and strong support, it can be trained up as a standard on a pole support then allowed to canopy out giving a weeping tree effect. Leaves turn buttery yellow before falling in autumn.

Hanging racemes of semi fragrant pink pea-like flowers with red tinged calyx are produced in early spring sometimes followed by hanging seed pods. Racemes can exceed 32-40cm in length. Plant in full sun. Young plants can take up to 4-5 years to produce flowers.
